The history of the North-West University all begins in 2004 when the three parties melted together to for the North-West University. Known as the University of North-West, Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education and the Sebokeng Campus of Vista University these are the establishments that melted together.
There are a lot of tourist attractions on the different campuses of the NWU but here at the Potchefstroom campus (almost 147 Years) the different attraction is:
The “Kalfyn” (infront of mainbuilding F5)
The “Kalfyn” is great master piece that was built in front of the Law Faculty Building (Main Building) by people with great workmanship skills. The pond has a fountain like water feature that gives the area some characteristics. The pond is there for the image of the great landscaping of the NWU but is sometimes used by the students as a place where to have fun and make a joke or 2.
