Good food and wine goes hand in hand with a nice getaway to make your trip an even better one. Besides, what is a holiday without getting a better taste on what’s hot in Tzaneen and surrounding areas.
Tzaneen has plenty to offer in the culinary department while you are enjoying your stay.
On the R71 coming down the beautiful road, though Magoesbaskloof, you will come across Pot and Plow which is ideal for a chilled Sunday lunch with friends. Now what is better than beer and pizza in good company?
Further along the R71 you can treat yourself by visting Pekoe View with its fantastic view and while you are up there have some of their home-made lemonade and a filled pancake to die for.
On the road again, just past Pekoe View you will find Wheelbarrow; beautiful tropical garden, a nursery, home made goods to buy and just before you leave enjoy their Sunday Buffet. Did we mention oxtail at a very reasonable price?
Back to mouth watering pizza! As you come into town you will find Woodburn’s Pizza & Pasta Restaurant and Pub and further into town the well-known High Grove Lodge. They have quite an impressive menu with great pizza and platters.
In the heart of Tzaneen town you can pay Crawdaddy’s a visit. Rumour has it that they have the best seafood in town. They also offers an extensive menu of different flavours of Africa, Indian, Mediterranean and more. Enjoy some fine wine in their wine cellar where they boys can also enjoy a good game of rugby and beer.
Adding a little Asia to your trip; visit Rose’s restaurant with fantastic sushi and other Asian dishes.
The diversity will drive you mad.
