
The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve (KPNR) is one of the largest privately owned nature reserves in South Africa covering some 60 000 hectares and is part of the Greater Kruger National Park.. It is an entirely non-government organization involved in the full spectrum of Nature Conservation. Klaserie is a small town situated in the Limpopo province, on the R40, south of Hoedspruit. The Town's main tourist attraction is the Klaserie Nature Reserve. It is a privately owned nature reserve with a bushveld atmosphere, and forms part of the Great Kruger National Park. Klaserie acts as a base for exploring the Klaserie Nature Reserve and Kruger National Park.
Klaserie Dam is situated about 28km from Hoedspruit in a private reserve. They offer a variety of camping options with a bushveld atmosphere. There are a lot of trees and grass, power points are located on the Island and is easily accessible. There are two camp areas, the Island and the Army camp. The Army Camp has toilets but no electricity or ablution facility, the Island has both electricity and ablutions. The camping facilities include ablutions with hot water showers, toilets, basins and washing area for dishes. Activities include fishing, swimming, bird watching, boating. They also have a Lapa which is ideal for group functions.
